Maybe because somehow I get invited to few of my friend’s getaway trip together with his colleagues, but I think there’s more to it.
There’s something about Cebu that makes me want to come back, it’s calling me. Totally not a Moana theme but one thing I am sure is, totally not the traffic too. HAHAHA.
Maybe this is a catch-up post too, I only published one article last year which was about my trip to Sante Fe, Bantayan. See post here: http://wp.me/p1zkbj-1uY
Well, there a lot of things you can do in Cebu. From sightseeing, adrenaline adventure, beach hopping, waterfalls hunting and much more.
So, here are the things I’ve done in Cebu in 2016.
After our trip to Bantayan, I am supposed to witness the Sinulog Festival 2016 Grand Parade on Sunday together with Reyjan’s colleagues, but I went home on the same day because something came up back home – family matters.
After six months I came back to Cebu to attend the Boscoffeechela hosted by my most favorite, Bo’s Coffee, for celebrating their 20 years.
Sadly, I only came here alone. Reyjan was enjoying Bohol that time with friends, he did invite me though. I didn’t take long in Boscoffeechela too. Suddenly I don’t know how to make friends. HAHA. There were a lot of activities actually, but I just so felt alone. 😓 Or tired? I haven’t got much sleep that day too (excuses 😅). HAHAHA. I wish I have seen David Guison there though. Anyways!
To make my stay in Cebu worthwhile, I decided I’ll just make it up to myself for the next day. So I did. Luckily I have another friend in Cebu that can come with me that time, not the whole day tho. She still needs to work, she’s my sister’s best friend actually. 🙂
My next itinerary was, SM Seaside City Cebu ➡ Skyscraping ➡ Temple of Leah ➡ Lantaw Restuarant and La Vie Parisienne was just optional, but we still go for one bottle.
This is my first time ever in SM Seaside, it was newly open too. This was the time also that I bought my MyBus Card, convenient and cheaper way to commute especially if going and from Airport. All route costs Php 25.00.
I only took pictures in the Sky Garden tho. Yep, that’s the famous cube of SM Seaside City Cebu. After a short walk around SM Seaside I went back to I.T Park at 3 pm to meet Ate Aimee there but, because of her unexpected commitment, we decided to meet an hour later. So I push through my longtime desire to go to Crown Regency Hotel and Towers for some Sky Experience Adventure. I’ve been dying to experience the Skywalk but time hasn’t still come to satisfy that adrenaline feeling within me. It was afternoon when I went there and heck, Skywalk is way better to experience at night. So I only try the Sky Observatory. Booo! HAHA. But I enjoyed it. Nothing beats the view from 38th floor. 😉
Ate Aimee and I met at JY Mall, from there we took a ‘habal-babal’ ride going Temple of Leah. The fare is Php 75.00 each. P.S: Don’t mind my messy hair. LOL
Skyscraping: Different perspective but will always be the same place. – Shira
Temple of Leah is a story of undying love. Read all the history here http://templeofleah.com/.
We witness the sunset, and our little tummies were hungry, Lantaw is just 5-10 minutes walk from the Temple. I was so ready to eat, but it took a little while because Lantaw was full-house.
But the wait is worth it. All yum! 😀 We had Crispy Pata, Baked Scallops (my favorite), and Cordova Express.
After we indulge ourselves in these delectable foods, we headed next to La Vie to have some wine. Charot! And then we call it a night.
This is not my last visit to Cebu for 2016 yet, there’s one more to come. 🙂
