If you are a Roman Catholic, Miraculous Shrine of Simala in Sibonga, Cebu is one of the places you won’t ever missed to visit. Continue reading
An invitation to visit always excites me especially if it requires me to travel to another region. A traveler at heart you know! 😉 Continue reading
Four hours of travel from the city is just a beginning of adventure if you are heading to Tumalog Falls, Oslob, Cebu. If you don’t have a private vehicle and you’re taking a bus, the driver will drop you off exactly where the road sign going to falls is. From there, take a habal-habal to Tumalog Falls. But wait, that is just your second step heading there. Ah ah ah! Continue reading
In my third visit in Manila I finally able to make it at Manila Ocean Park! Taking UV Express Van from Paranaque where I stayed, DG Budget Hotel, to Roxas Boulevard cost Php 30.00.
I bought the Deep Sea Rush ticket for only Php 550.00, it’s a promo rate so it’s not that out of budget. Haha Lining up to buy a ticket won’t take that long, thumbs up for the fast tellers/cashiers. Sea Lion Show is my first stop.
After seeing those very cute sea mammals I head up directly to Oceanarium where you can find tons and a different sea creature that you haven’t seen yet. If you are fond of Koi fish you might want to feed them but the pleasure of feeding them is not free. Stonefish is the weirdest yet interesting creature I’ve ever seen here. When you hear the Antarctic lovely Penguin are there, although I didn’t enter The Penguin Quest at least I experienced the Trails of Antarctic moment. HAHA
This is where I enjoyed myself most, welcome to the Jellies: Dancing Sea Fairies Exhibit. I was really amazed to these different jellies in the showroom, what my eyes seen goes through my heart.
Experienced the Sharks & Rays dry encounter in Ocean Park as well.
I didn’t watch the musical fountain show anymore cos it’s scheduled at 6:30 pm and my time is very limited as well. I need to go in Divisoria for the not-so-shopping list. I enjoyed my little time at Manila Ocean Park, I hope you enjoyed the photos I’ve shared here. It was a blueish day! 😉

Her five weeks and three days vacation are over and it’s time for me to accompany her in Manila. This is our first time traveling together, first time together on the plane, first time for Kalesa ride, and our first time in getting lost and wander in a strange place.
We only had 2 nights and 1 day to spend in Manila but we have so many plans. We took the last trip going to Manila so we arrived pre-evening time. Taking the shuttle going to NAIA I is only Php 20.00 then from NAIA 1 we just walked going to DG Budget Hotel. My bad because I thought it was just a blink of an eye in getting there but it wasn’t. It was just my second time so I thought it was just REALLY a walking distance. HAHA So imagine sissy carrying her baggage for 20-30mins long walkathon. Then we spent the whole night relaxing in an air conditioned room twin bed sharing room for another long day for tomorrow.
Our first stop was at Binondo. We had our breakfast at McDonald’s then headed up to 168 Shopping Mall where you can shop till you drop. At noon, we decided to go to Luneta and no luck for us because all the Jeepney going to Luneta route is full. But the Kalesa driver is such a blessing in disguise, he has the good intention to serve tourists in Manila unlike my first experience of Kalesa with friends. Manila that time was really hot, or shall I say always hot? It felts like we were toasting ourselves under the sun.
One of the things that we didn’t able to do was going together in Manila Ocean Park. Our stomach was upset because of the Chicken we ate last night so even it wasn’t really feeling better day for us but at least we managed to have fun. Then the day comes when sis needs to leave the Philippines. See you soonest ate! 🙂
One of the finest places in the Philippines is Bukidnon. Fresh air and so much beautiful view that could be considered as one of a kind. This was our Dahilayan Family-Trip and it was just full of fun and happiness. We rent a jeepney for this trip and to tell you that truth, jeepney is not a good idea to rent for because of the rocky and dusty road going to this beautiful park.

Because sissy and I already experienced the Zipline, we only let mom & dad to took the adrenaline feeling. We brought food and had a picnic moment at the Forest Park, the cottage is already inclusive in the entrance fee. There are already tons of activity to-do in the forest park alone so it is okay not to take rides (well, at least for me), sulit kung baga.
One day I’ll be back here and will take more adult rides. 😛 I hope you enjoy our not-so-cute-little-bonding. 🙂
You guys know that I’ve been struggling lately with my A.K.A busy schedule. Last week, I mention about Kaamulan Festival. Yes, I’ve been in Malaybalay for 2 nights and 2 days and of course, I left CDO with my friends making sure that I celebrated my mom’s birthday! 😀 That shouldn’t what I missed, right?!
Uhm, what’s funny while we were still on the bus, there are a lot of thoughts coming in my mind and I can’t help it. So I asked my friends if they have some paper or something that I can write on then they told me: ‘Shira, we’re going to Kaamulan to enjoy not to do some school stuff’. (teasing me..really 😛 ) Well, writing is been so attach to me. Why I’m so eager to write? Well, who wouldn’t if you see this?
I swear! It’s hard to get the perfect view while on the bus! 😛 Took it from my phone, sun is setting! 😉
We arrived at Malaybalay past 8 pm, traveled for almost 5hrs. Jeez, my butt quite sucks. LOL. Bus fare doesn’t sound bad! We stayed at Meriam’s aunt house at San Jose but before that, we stopped by to her other aunt’s house at Carvahal to have some dinner. Meriam’s dad was staying there and jeez, he is so accommodating. Palamine Family are accommodating!
We woke up around 6 am, fixing ourselves then head to the city to watch the street dancing!
Mini garden of the house! Beautiful, isn’t?
Unfortunately, we arrived in the city late so we only saw the last three or four of the participants.
Walking with “Kadang-Kadang” you need a balance and focus. One thing to do this is practice. Jeez, I don’t know how to walk with that. Back in HS in our P.E, I didn’t have a chance to try it, the bell rang! LOL
There were so align , holding arm to arm!
Eagle! Flying high?
At first Peri, Sara and I hesitate to buy cos we were still full at that time we had a heavy breakfast but Meriam and Hana simply made us lick our lips! LOL
Suddenly I got tired, didn’t know that I took a nap 😛 and when I woke up, jeez… legs cramps! Then the girls decided to go back home to San Jose to rest a little bit cos there will be fireworks display late at night.
Whooo… okay, we ride ‘Multicab’ going back to San Jose and we were lucky, at the middle of nowhere… flat tire dude! (“Flat tire get tired” ~ Tongue Twister for you guys 😛 )
But heck nooo, we were stuck in the beautiful area. Nature around us! 😀
hmmm, cos the first multicab was stuck we waited for another vehicle. T’was a bad experience because the driver deceived us, ladies. Cos we were not that familiar yet going to San Jose, we asked him to drop us in Luardo(landmark) but he didn’t. So the gals needed to walk 10-15 min under the sun to the house, we start walking(sweating much) 😦 but surprisingly driver hurried up to still catch up us and you know what he said to us? “Hey you should take a ride, Luardo is still far from here”! Damn dude, O.O we were really disappointed! Obviously, we’re going to pay again for that ride! It wasn’t money but how he treated people who are new the place is what matter most!
Okay! Night comes! 😀 Honestly, fireworks is what we supposed to wait at night but there’s a change of course. We were early indeed in Plateu 😛 We only got a glimpse to the beautiful fireworks 😛 Dang! LOL
Saturday night was fun, really.
What we experienced at the daylight was opposite when I and Meriam heading home to San Jose. There’s a guy name James. There’s no multicab yet and it was raining, not that heavy tho enough to make us soaked in the rain but not that much so he offered us a ride. Kuya_James is so kind. We ride in his motorbike and we were supposed to pay for it but he didn’t let us to give him even a single penny! Wow. Thank You so much Kuya_James for your kind heart! 😀
Among the girls, only Peri and I weren’t able to come to Kaamulan last year and the three gals always telling us that there’s an amazing spot there! And here it, I forgot to ask Meriam what’s the name of the place.
I Love Nature! Live Naturally, Shira! Treehugger! 😀 😀
Before we head to the terminal, we took our lunch at Carvahal. I’m not a fan of Chicken Curry but dude, Palamine family cooked it well and I’m loving it much now! Whew…
Happy Blogging Everyone!
3rd day of our trip was REALLY fun!!!!
Dolphin and Whale Watching, Snorkeling, and visiting the Virgin Island.
> First Activity, well it took some time to go in the middle of the sea you know .. LOL .. the bangkero said Dolphin prefer to come out when the sun still not REALLY rising so we went there as early as 6 am! I can’t post pictures of it cos our shot is not that clear though we’re still waiting for Steve’s photos 😛
> Snorkeling!!! Whew .. Balicasag Island is really beautiful ♥♥♥ .. marine life is really awesome. 🙂 This time, we didn’t take pictures of it cos we don’t have a waterproof camera 😦 THAT WAS THE THING WE FORGOT TO BRING ON!!!! After snorkeling, lunch and picture taking at Balicasag Island!!! That jump shot was taken at Balicasag Island 🙂
> Visiting the Virgin Island was really awesome! I can’t say the exact word(s) because the Island is really awesome. I don’t don’t know why they call it as “Virgin Island” cos it’s never been touch? but totally damage? LOL ..
Here’s the Pics, from Dolphin Watching photos to Virgin Island 🙂
Here we go .. 2nd day was country side tour!!! Bohol has lots of beautiful spots so ….
> We visited first the Chocolate Hills which is the farthest spot from where we stayed in. 🙂 Chocolate Hills has 1.268 cone shape hills 🙂 the most famous tourist attraction of Bohol. 🙂 Though it took almost 2 hours to travel there, still it’s really worth it 🙂
> Next stop was at Butterfly Garden, well I’m not much fun of Butterflies but I love butterflies 🙂 … the one who tour/guide us in the garden and give some information about butterflies was really cool. He has a good sense of humor that really catches our attention and make us laugh all the way 🙂
Note: Butterflies mate for 24 hours!! (wide eyes open .. LOL .. really? :P)
> Thousands of Mahogany trees planted by locals are found in Bilar’s Man-Made Forest. And Man-Made Forest is really awesome 🙂
> Tarsier Sanctuary. Tarsier is considered as the world’s smallest primate.
and here’s the other tarsier!! LOL
> We also dropped at Zoocolate.
> We stopped at Hanging Bridge, hmmm… not really so special but playing in hanging brindge was truly awesome but lil scary LOL
> Lunch Lunch Luch … we took our lunch in Bunsai Monark Floating Resto at Loboc River. Foods are good, I love their soup and most perfectly awesome eating in Floating Resto was while you’re eating you also feeling the nature!! ♥
> After Lunch, we went to somewhat mini zoo there. second stop was at Baclayon Church. It’s one of the oldest stone church in the Philippines back 16th century 🙂 Take a deeper look in the second picture.. see any image there?
> Last spot was the Blood Compact Shrine at Tagbilaran City. Its the commemorates treaty of friendship between Miguel Lopez de Legaspi and Rajah Sikatuna. This treaty was sealed by drinking blood mixed in wine thus it is called Blood Compact. 🙂
Besides from the fact that it’s my first step in Bohol, this trip is really exciting because this is the second trip of our SEO team 🙂 Another bonding will surely hit our hearts.
October 29 was our departure day from Cagayan de Oro to Bohol via Cebu Ferries 🙂
We arrived at Jagna Port at 2 pm, then we traveled from port to Tagbilaran City for 2 hours (a little bit tired ). We bought some foods at Island City Mall (ICM) and waited for the Van that will take us to Alona. 🙂 And it took 1 and a half hour to be there! As we got there, of course, fixing our things and we took some rest. After a while, we decided to take some pictures at the beach with the SUNSET! whew.. really nice ♥
Night swimming after 🙂
And after dinner, our first day ended with games though we didn’t take pictures with that – we totally had fun 😀
Our second day will next 🙂
